Why won't the Mastertronic test below 7 mil in the vial or skip tests?

Why won't the Mastertronic test below 7 mil in the vial? When the Mastertronic skips a test there is normally not enough regent in the vial to do the test. Even though it says 10 mil it may need to take more than 3mil for a test which the needle cannot pass. This is also leads to the question above that the MT can't go below the 7mil measurement because of the Stir Bar. If we allowed it to, the needle could hit the bar on entry and bend because it does not know where the bar is in the ...

Mastertronic Stir bar is very noisy and jumping around?

Mastertronic Stir bar is very noisy and jumping around? This is an indication that there is residue in the bottom of the reaction chamber. Some test kits reagents are thick and some are heavy and leave residue in the bottom of the chamber. This causes the small mag stirrer to jump and make noise also you get results that are not correct. Please refer to the "descaling procedure" in the Mastertronic Manuel for details.

Mastertronic Needle Issues

Mastertronic Needle Issues can cause bad accuracy? Some times we find the accuracy of results we are getting from the MT are off the list below are worth checking even though you have put new needles in. - Blow Test- On the vent needle (back one) can get blocked from time to time from very small particles of silicone from the vial which intern will stop the main needle from drawing up the correct amount of fluid for a test. Take the vent needle out and Blow air through it and check its ...

Why don't we use the whole vial of regent for testing in the Mastertronic?

Why don't we use the whole vial of regent for testing in the Mastertronic? This question is asked a-lot, that we get a refill warning for the regent when we get to 7mil in the vial and you ant bypass it? The reason is very practical! - We have a stir bar in the vial for keeping the heavy/thick regents suspended and if we let the needle go down past the 7mil, the needle could hit the bar and bend.

Mastertronic tests results are off after vial refill?

Mastertronic tests results are off after vial refill? Refilling the vials with regent there are a number of do's and don'ts. - When refilling vials with the same batch of regent please shake the regents before toping up the vials. - After you have toped up to the neck of the vial (NOT INCLUDING THE NECK) Put the cap on the vial and shake the vial to mix the bottom regent that was left with the new regent added. - If you are down to 7ml and you have to replace the regent with a new b...

MAstertronic Overflow and cleanup loop SolutionĀ

Overflow and cleanup loop Solution Sometimes you can get stuck in a overflow cleanup loop where the MT calibration is off and is putting more water in the vial which overflows either one of the mixing or rinsing vials. - So the way round this is to mop up the leak Sensor and underneath the vials with a paper towel - Take the top hose off the vial (sometimes one or both) and put that hose in the Measuring beaker this way you can get through the clean up so you can do a recalibration. ...

How to make your silicone caps last longer

How to make your silicone caps last longer? When you change your regent in your vials take note of where the needle holes are. When you put them back in the MT turn the vial 1/4 to give the needle a new place to puncher. This will extend the life of the silicone caps some what depending on how many tests you're doing. šŸ˜œ
